Designing a sustainable future

We are living in a climate emergency. The planet and its systems are under immense and growing pressure from human activity – our shared future relies on our collective action.

At this year’s COP28 in Dubai, leading experts from across the Sidara Collaborative are once again engaging with the greatest minds in sustainability from around the world.

Our collective aim is to help shape the future of our built environment in a way that safeguards the planet, while promoting prosperity and enhancing the quality of life in communities worldwide.

Transportation, buildings and utilities present some of the greatest opportunities for addressing climate change and sustainability in the built environment. At this landmark conference in the UAE, representatives from Sidara’s Sustainability Council will be presenting solutions as to how to effectively reduce emissions and build climate resilience in these critical areas and beyond.

Our Collaborative Commitments

In time for this year’s COP, we are publishing our very first detailed analysis into our Sidara-wide ESG performance.

This report sets out a comprehensive breakdown as to our Collaborative’s impact on our planet, together with our all-important commitments to decarbonizing our business by 2030, under the World Green Building Council’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment.

Our collaborative is fully committed to continued advocacy for high ambition in climate action – eliminating emissions, building resilience and supporting the just transition globally.

A Collaborative Solution

At COP28, the Sidara Collaborative is launching Solutions – a collection of investigations into how to rapidly decarbonize the most challenging sectors in the built environment.

We explore design-level insights for the Aviation, Healthcare, Mobility, Data Centre and Urban Hydrogen sectors and chart concrete pathways to zero emissions.

Drawn from a multitude of experts across our companies, our findings are designed to share the insights of our design and consulting work on projects around the world. Our research distills the work of thousands of professionals on hundreds of projects and actively demonstrates what steps industries need to take to make measurable impact on our natural world.

Our intention is clear – to provide our clients and broader industry with practical lessons in delivering climate solutions, even in the most challenging sectors.

Together, with the brightest minds collaborating with our most ambitious clients, we can safeguard our planet, and build a greener, healthier, and more prosperous tomorrow for all.
